How to Create a CRA My Business Account

Your step-by-step guide to getting set up with the Canada Revenue Agency

Creating a CRA My Business Account gives you secure online access to manage your GST/HST, payroll, corporate taxes, and authorize EO CPA to support you.

What You’ll Need:

Make sure you have the following ready:

  • Your Business Number (BN) (e.g., 123456789RC0001)

  • Your program account types (RC, RT, RP, etc.)

  • Your business postal code

  • Your personal SIN (if identifying as the owner)

  • Access to mail at your business address (CRA will send a code)

Option 1: Register Online

  1. Visit: CRA My Business Account

  2. Choose a sign-in method (Sign-In Partner or CRA login)

  3. Enter your business information

  4. CRA will mail you a security code (arrives in ~5–10 business days)

  5. Log in and enter the code to complete activation

Option 2: Register by Calling CRA

If you prefer not to register online, you can call CRA and have them assist you with access:

CRA Business Enquiries Line

1-800-959-5525 (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM local time)

What to Say:

Let them know:

"I’d like to register for a CRA My Business Account or get a security code mailed to set up online access."

Be ready to provide:

  • Your business number (BN)

  • Business name and address

  • Your name and SIN (if you're the owner or director)

CRA will mail a security code to the business address they have on file.

Once You're In...

You can:

  • View and manage all business tax accounts

  • File returns and make payments

  • Authorize EO CPA (Rep ID: G2WF5D) to support you directly
